New Website!! GamesOpinion.com
It's been awhile since I updated here on Phenomenal Entertainment, but there's been a good reason! I've been working on a new website! It's GamesOpinion.com, and it's exactly what you think it is-- a media review and preview website that's aimed at games. Take a moment to check it out, because chances are it will become my primary website from now on. Sorry Webstarts, it's been fun, but I need more control over what my site does.

All you classy chaps are welcome to join me on GamesOpinion.com! see you there!

New Game Released-- Quentin's Escape
Hello and welcome sincere visitor! I am pleased to inform you that after a several month hiatus, I have indeed whipped up a new game for you to enjoy, and yes, it's still warm from the oven!

The game? "Quentin's Escape."

This game is a platformer made in six hours, based on William Faulkner's "The Sound and The Fury". This game is actually meant as an assignment for my AP English class, and is only worth ten completion points, however, I felt this novel deserved its own game, much like i gave Brave New World its own game.

Just because its for an English assignment doesn't mean its any less of a game however! Head on up to the "Flash Games" tab and give it your best shot! "Quentin's Escape" is located towards the bottom of the page. Have yourself a jolly-good time!

*KNOWN BUGS*
-Upon reaching the Caddy block at the top of the structure, the screen will white out, if this does not disappear in a few seconds, click the game a few times and move your browser window. The ending should then display itself.

Cheers,
Austin

New Game Released - Rad Road Racer
My first Collaborative effort, "Rad Road Racer" has been released to the all devouring beast that is the internet. It is a drag-racing type game with an emphasis on upgrading and surviving rounds. Think of it as tower defense meets racing.

I handled development while Argentin supplied the art and concept.

So far it has been surprisingly popular around the world according to my Mochiads analytics, and I encourage you to give it a shot. At the present time, the Global highscore is set at a lowly 5 rounds completed. With a bit of practice, surely you can top that.

Oh, and my Xbox 360 just died...Uncharted to the rescue!

Cheers, Austin

New Game Released-- Dream Fall
A new game, Dream Fall, was released to the Wild on Sunday. The game is similar to Fall Down whereas players must struggle to remain in the screen while they descend through the sky. Separating it from Fall Down however, is the originality and diversity of your bearings. You fall down onto platforms of varying size, shape, color, and movement behavior...all this creates a much more interesting experience. Throw in collectables, leaderboards, decent graphics, and you've got my best game yet by far. Next up is my collaborative game with Argentine...In the meantime, I hope you'll all have fun with Dream Fall.

Oh, and would someone please beat my High Score? It's lonely being on top. har har.

Cheers, Austin

New Demo Released!
Argentine and myself have entered into a collaboration in order to produce a racing game, the demo of which may be found at the bottom of my Demos page. He's doing the graphics and sound, and I'm doing everything else.

It feels odd to be working with graphics that actually mimic what's found in real life. I think it will be one of my more popular games. The ability to upgrade your car and proceed through a round-based system (much like the tower defense genre) should hopefully alleviate the generic nature of a standard racer. Now we just need a name...

RBOP---Demo Updated!
The newest version of my flash game in development, Rollin Ball's Ordinary Platforma, has been displayed on the demo page for all to see and play. This demo ends during the fifth level, (the one with the swaying flower platforms and disappearing blocks) though people who know flash will be able to find a little more...

If you would like to share some feedback, let me know in the contact page by leaving a comment.

Cheers, Austin.

One cent at a time...
It has been two hundred days since I uploaded my first flash game, "Wall Hall," to Mochiads.com, a flash advertising and distribution site. Within the dashboard of every developer's account lies a graph and statistics which display the day's earnings and impressions.

You can probably guess how much I've earned.

It's taken two hundred days to achieve but ninety-seven cents. A rather displeasing number in itself. But next to my all-time earnings stat, is the daily earnings stat, which until recently, has remained at a depressing zero. But something has changed...the winds of capitalism are blowing, and they carry the scent of growth.

I now have four games running ads and generating revenue (though one has seen a whopping zero impressions.) This last month of October has seen twenty-six cents earned over the course of twenty-seven days...wait, a cent a day? What an increase! The worthless, zero-income days have ended, given way to a cent-a-day salary. This is a small amount, sure, but it is also stable, predictable, and most importantly, buildable. As my arsenal of games grows, and my skill in building them advances, I can't help but grow excited with the possibilities of the future.

But for now, I'll focus on earning one cent at a time.

"If you're good at something, never do it for free."
It seems that with every website offering FREE this and FREE that, take Webstarts.com for instance, you never truly give the full deal without requiring an investment other than time from the user. You know what I mean, the GET FREE XBOX 360 -FILL OUT SURVEY ads that glitter your less favorable web pages. Webstarts makes all the promises of the full product for free, yet hides them from those who don't subscribe...This is not to condemn the service, for It is indeed quite good in my early opinion. I do take issue with WIDGETBOX.com and their cheap subscription grabber- placing "get this widget" buttons on the bottom of every widget. They are ugly, and cost the eyes what they don't cost the wallet. It seems that nothing is truly free.

Experimental Procedures
This is it, my second website...and the first I feel I have any chance of success with. But how does one define success? Feedback is the currency I so desire. I created this site out of a hunger for social experimentation. The experiment being, of course, society's appreciation for my work, and that of my friends. So please, entertain this experiment, and have some fun with the games and movies available! And we'll see if we can't make something out of nothing.
